43 years and counting!
43 years ago, in an empty corner lot off Route 59, Crossroads Fest was born amidst polyester and AMC Pacers. It was the Disco Era, the country had just passed thru Watergate and we were looking for some fun. It lasted one evening.
The Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce works hard to bring this event to the area to grow local business and connect to the community. It is the chief fundraising event for the chamber and local businesses benefit directly from this festival. Without the amazing help of the Village of Shorewood, this event would not be possible, and for that we extend a sincere thank you!
This year’s Crossroads Festival will be held August 2nd, 3rd and 4th at Cene's Four Seasons Park located at 25520 W. Seil Road in Shorewood. The Festival is brought to the community by the Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce. This is a great opportunity for your business to connect with the Shorewood Community by volunteering and sponsoring our event.
The Crossroads fest kicks off Friday with a special needs pre-party celebration followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony. The carnival opens at 5pm on Friday. Live entertainment under the entertainment and our food vendors begin at 6pm.
Live music, dancing, and cold beer make for a great weekend. Come on out for one band or all six! Our goal is to provide a “family friendly festival.” There will be a $5 entrance fee for everyone 12 and older beginning at 6pm Friday and Saturday night for the Entertainment tent and Eat Street. The Entertainment Area and Eat Street will be fenced and available to the entire family to walk about and enjoy the entertainment and great food and drinks in Eat Street! There will be no entry fee to the Carnival area all weekend!
Crossroads Fest offers old fashioned festival fun and includes the Amateur Bean Bag Tournament, Pie, Hot Wing and Hot Dog Eating Contests and Fireworks on Saturday night provided by the Village of Shorewood. The highlight of the festival is the 12 p.m. parade on Sunday.
It looks to be another great year! Sunday, August 4th, has been reserved as “Sunday Funday” and will include free family fun events all afternoon. There will be NO entrance fees that day in the Entertainment Area and Eat Street! More details to follow as events are finalized. Stay tuned!
