47 years and counting!
47 years ago, in an empty corner lot off Route 59, Crossroads Fest was born amidst polyester and AMC Pacers. It was the Disco Era, the country had just passed thru Watergate and we were looking for some fun. It lasted one evening.
The Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce is working hard to bring this event to the area to grow local business and connect to the community. Without the amazing help of the Village of Shorewood, this event would not be possible, and for that we extend a sincere thank you!
This year’s Crossroads Festival will be held August 4th, 5th & 6th at Cene's Four Seasons Park located at 25520 W. Seil Road in Shorewood. The Festival is brought to the community by the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce. This is a great opportunity for your business to connect with the Shorewood Community by volunteering and sponsoring our event.
The Crossroads fest kicks off Friday with a special needs pre-party celebration followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony. The carnival opens at 5pm on Friday. Live entertainment under the entertainment and our food vendors begin at 6pm.
Live music, dancing, and cold beer make for a great weekend. Come on out for one band or all five! Our goal is to provide a “family friendly festival.” NEW this year we will have two entrances where you will be able to purchase a 21 and older wrist band for $5.00 and your beer tickets. We will not have an enclosed area for food, the whole park including the hill will be open. There will be no entry fee to the Carnival area all weekend!
Crossroads Fest offers old fashioned festival fun and includes the Amateur Bean Bag Tournament and Fireworks on Saturday night provided by the Village of Shorewood. The highlight of the festival is the 12 p.m. parade on Sunday.
It looks to be another great year!
